New Orleans - Atlanta ( 2026)
Artists in Residence - Antonia Zennaro and Monica Rose Kelly ( New Orleans, LA )
A trans-city artist residency connecting New Orleans with cities across the U.S. through collaboration, exchange, and the creation of shared public art, movement, and civic imagination. This inaugural chapter links New Orleans and Atlanta as a site of connection, experimentation, and collective creative practice between artists, communities, and cultural spaces. At its core, the residency asks: What symbols, forms, or gestures carry your vision of the future—and how can they be shared in public space?
Project:
Through the Future Flags Initiative, community submissions are transformed into custom flags that move into the street as living works of public art—carried in a collective parade-performance shaped by live brass music, embodied movement, and shared participation. The procession culminates in a public activation where audiences are invited to engage, dance, and carry the work forward.
Blending residency, ritual, and public celebration, the project transforms the city into a living canvas of shared imagination—where flags become language, movement becomes dialogue, and joy becomes a form of collective expression.
